Quilts
One of the most popular and versatile bedding options. Made with a layer of fabric on top, inside batting (filling) and the bottom layer of fabric all stitched together to form a Quilt.
A traditional quilt will have a top layer of patchwork which utilizes different fabrics stitched together to form a pattern.

Bedspreads & Coverlets
These two are similar to quilts in the sense that they are all generally thin, lightweight, and made with similar materials. However, they each have distinguishing differences.
Bedspreads (or spreads) are bed covers that will drape down to the floor to eliminate the need for a bed skirt. These are great to have a regal elegant look for your bed.
Coverlets are very thin single-layer blankets, short enough to sit on top of the bed. Usually coverlets will be folded at the foot of the bed for decoration or optional extra warmth.
How to Find Your Perfect Size
We found that some will identify quilts as “bedspreads” or “coverlets” depending if the quilt will reach to the floor or not. With the varying sizes of mattress thickness and bed frame height, each quilt will fit differently on each bed.
Pro tip: Check the size of your current bed cover and compare the dimensions to the item you're considering to buy. -No need to bring out the measuring tape!
